This hands on position will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and deploying computer solutions in client server and web environments that support our elder home care business.
This individual will provide leadership to junior programmers and infrastructure staff so that all solutions meet business requirements and are designed for optimum performance on home office and ten field environments. Specifically: Design, develop, maintain, and support applications that meet established requirements agreed upon by the business area and follow conventional Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methods; Create and maintain application documentation, design, process flows, data flow, and any other required documentation; Integrate third-party and in-house developed software when needed for custom solutions;Work with business clients to develop requirements, lead design sessions, and verify solution will add value; Ability to debug data corruption issues and able to write SQL script to extract and/or modify SQL Databases for reporting and nightly batch processing;Contribute to the continued improvement of development products, processes, and skills
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field – OR – the equivalent combination of education and experience is required
• Outstanding oral / written communication skills; ability to interact with business partners
A minimum of 2 -3 years experience with Visual FoxPro 9 is required, along with migrating to a VB.net or C# solution
• A minimum of 2 years experience with SQL is required experience, specifically with MSSQL Server and adhoc reporting packages like Crystal
• Experience with some of the following languages is a plus: ASP, ASP.net, Java Script, HTML
• Experience within the Home Care industry for the elderly is a big plus
