The Developer in this position will create and enhance software integration applications primarily using Classic ASP and the Microsoft Visual FoxPro development language. Will also be responsible for developing, maintaining and growing our three web-based apps written in ASP, all for the high-demand Background Screening industry. The possibility to convert apps to .NET with the right candidate.
This position requires working onsite in our Monroe office. Very minimal travel is required.
Summary of Qualifications:
• Must have excellent spoken and written communication skills and able to facilitate effective communication with clients and in-house development and technical support departments
• Will possess excellent organizational and planning skills that will enable execution of all job duties while requiring minimal supervision
• Proven ability in building solutions through full software life cycle from professional meetings with clients (mainly via phone) to fully evaluate their needs on through the design, coding, testing and implementation processes
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and an extremely demanding environment
· Ability to meet deadlines for multiple tasks and projects and juggle competing priorities
• Ability to work well on individual tasks as well as working in a team environment
• Background Screening or HR experience a plus
Experience/Skills Required:
• 5+ years developing Classic ASP - Active Server Pages with VBScript and Javascript
• 3+ years of Microsoft Visual FoxPro (comparable Visual Basic (VB) experience will be considered and train to learn VFP)
• 2+ years of detailed XML and Web Services experience and integrating to other applications through XML and SOAP
• 3+ years of Object Oriented Programming experience
• Past development of eCommerce solutions helpful
• Experience in designing and architecting vertical market applications
• Strong debugging and problem solving skills
• MS Office, Word and Excel experience
